In conjunction with our 2nd Annual San Angelo READS! & United We Read Back-to-School Event, San Angelo ISD will host an immunization clinic in partnership with Shannon Medical Center to provide SAISD families accessible opportunities for students in kindergarten through 12th grade to get Texas-required immunizations.

Immunizations will be available during the 2nd Annual San Angelo READS! & United We Read Back-to-School Event
📅 Date: Friday, August 1, 2025
📍 Location: CRC Roofers Coliseum
⏰ Time: 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

State law and the Texas Department of State Health Services require that students be fully vaccinated against certain diseases, and provide that all immunizations should be completed by the first day of attendance. SAISD cares about our students, and our goal is to partner with our families so they can be in school where they have the best opportunity to learn and grow.

Immunizations available on-site at the clinic will include Hepatitis A, Measles/Mumps/Rubella (MMR), Chickenpox (VAR), Diphtheria/Tetanus/Pertussis (DTAP), Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis (TDAP), Meningococcal (MCV4), Bexsero (Men B), and Polio (IPV).

Additional details include:

  • A parent or guardian must accompany students 5-17 years old and sign consent paperwork prior to the administration of the immunization(s)
  • Please bring picture IDs, student shot records and insurance cards
  • Picture ID must be presented to receive immunizations
  • Shot records will be updated the day of the event
  • No payment is required at the time of service
  • Shannon Medical Center staff will administer the immunizations

You can download the 2025-2026 Texas Minimum State Vaccine Requirements for students grades K–12 from the Texas Department of State Health Services website.
